Ride to Work Day 2004

The annual Ride to Work Day was held on Wednesday 6 October and was a great success, with around 50 staff participating on the day. Those who made the effort were rewarded with a hearty breakfast of pancakes, bacon and eggs and fruit. The event was sponsored by Swinergy, the National Centre for Sustainability and bicycle store Bike Life, located in Auburn Road.

Much to her surprise, Kristi Hanson, a postdoctoral research fellow at IRIS, won a mountain bike donated by Bike Life. Other giveaways included free bike services and bike accessories.
