About the Environment

The environment is the world around us, and consists of all of the different components that make up the Earth. These components are extremely diverse and complex, and are not only restricted to air, land and water, but include everything that surrounds you, such as; natural resources, flora, fauna, climate, topography, layers of the atmosphere, etc. All of these components interact and are interelated.

Some brief information on environmental components of energy, water and waste has been provided as they were the themes of the first three forums for the network. This information will provide network participants with a brief understanding of some of the basic concepts of energy, water and waste.
