Was a network of VET (Vocational Education and Training)
staff and across industry, to provide and share resources and
opportunities to develop their skills and expertise in sustainability
and environmental management. Training provided to network members
is relevant to teaching needs and training packages.
NET
Working for Sustainability was a network developed
and fostered by the National Centre for Sustainability
(NCS) at Swinburne University of Technology, with support
from Reframing the Future. The network supported
the implementation of the national training system,
with a focus on sustainability
and environmental
management training for VET staff and industry. It was
seen as a starting point for a larger future network.
“Research by Reframing the Future shows that
more networks involving industry and training providers
are required to fully respond to the many challenges
of implementing a national training system”…"Networks
provide an interlocking web of connections and help
people develop their identities.”
John Mitchell & Susan Young. "Networking and
the National Training System."
