National Centre for Sustainability
The National Centre for Sustainability provides educational leadership and works in partnership with industry, government and community to undertake program delivery, resource development, project work and applied research to support the development of sustainable practices in business, government and the community.  United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation
The United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development is a complex and far-reaching undertaking. The environmental, social, and economic implications are enormous and touch many aspects of life of the world's population. The overall goal of the DESD is to integrate the principles, values, and practices of sustainable development into all aspects of education and learning. This educational effort will encourage changes in behaviour that will create a more sustainable future in terms of environmental integrity, economic viability, and a just society for present and future generations. The Pasak River Basin Network
The Pasak River Basin Network contains over 250 members from Thai-Yonok, Mon, Lao and Thai ethnic groups. The Network is working with communities in the area to raise the community's awareness of environmental conservation within the Pasak River Basin . By building the capacity of the community through a series of educational initiatives aimed at habitat rehabilitation, sustainable agriculture and the preservation of local culture and traditions.

Thailand Environment Institute
The Thailand Environment Institute works with the private sector, local communities and stakeholders to formulate environmental directives and link policy with action to encourage environmental progress in Thailand. Their mission is to serve as a respected research institute, a centre of high quality information and meaningful action committed to sustainable human development. Wetlands International
Wetlands International is an independent, not-for-profit, global organisation, supported by government membership from all continents of the world, extensive specialist networks and volunteers. It currently works through 15 country offices — in Central and Eastern Europe , Africa , South, East and North Asia , Oceania and South America. Wetlands International is the only global NGO dedicated to the conservation and wise use of wetlands. The Great Baikal Trail
GBT is an international non-profit organization, with a mission to promote local sustainable development of Lake Baikal and surrounding areas through low-impact ecotourism. This mission is grounded in building environmentally friendly trails that are safe and enjoyable for hikers of all ages and levels of experience. GBT is carrying out trail-building projects around Baikal in two-week summer camps composed of international volunteer crews. GBT projects concentrate on environmental education, restoration, social responsibility and leadership, on improving the health and well-being of local people, preserving indigenous peoples, their cultures and traditions, as well as promoting intercultural interaction. The Women's Union 'Arna'
The mission of the Women's Union ‘Arna' is to develop civil consciousness and action to improve society and the economy. They operate primarily within the community of Begen , Kazakhstan and have delivered several successful community projects. Projects include:

Potato cultivation education program - aimed at educating women in the home cultivation techniques of potatoes and other vegetables.

Kausar Bulak – women within Begen participated in a tree planting and community landscaping project

Iodine and our health – a health based program aimed at impriving dietry intake of iodine

bullet

Year of village support - inhabitants worked together with the local government in developing support and ideas for improved community development

Together Against Cancer
The mission of ‘Together Against Cancer' is to:

To improve the quality and lives of people who have cancer

To educate the population in the community on healthy living and assisting with social and judicial problems

Psychological rehabilitation of people who are diagnosed and at risk of having cancer

The target audience of ‘Together Against Cancer' are citizens of Semey who been exposed to the nuclear test site. Projects include:

Ongi Golinkhon Civil Movement and the Ongi River Network
The Ongi River network is a member organization with the aim of returning and protecting water flows to the Ongi river and to protect the rights of the residents that live within its catchment. For further information visit www.onggiriver.com

UNESCO / UNEVOC Mongolia
The UNEVOC Centre is responsible for: formulating and monitoring the implementation of policy on vocational education; improving content, standards, administrative structure and management of vocational education; financing and planing of vocational education; enforcing standards of vocational training and accreditation of training organisations; issuing licenses and permissions to interested parties on establishing vocational and technical schools; and providing support to non-government owned training organisations delivering vocational education. Union for the Protection of the Aral Sea (UDASA)
UDASA, an environmental NGO, was established to improve regional water management and organise public participation in water management decision making. UDASA works closely with several regional and international organisations, including the United Nations.
