Yarra Ranges Sustainable Business Forum
Background
Following the success of the Business Transformer program in 2007, the Shire of Yarra Ranges engaged the National Centre for Sustainability to assist the delivery on the annual Sustainable Business Forum. The yearly business forum aims to provide businesses within the Shire the opportunity to:
- Build practical measures to eco-efficiency
- Understand the impacts of a carbon price
- Develop organisational change programs
- To learn and network with other likeminded people
- Develop risk management strategies through anticipating the future
- Understanding of the business value for corporate social responsibility
- Recognition as a member of the Yarra Ranges Business Forum
Project status
For the third year running, the NCS will facilitate business seminars featuring Bob Willard on the topic of business sustainability. Bob Willard shared his business and leadership knowledge to assist attendees to efficiently manage risks and respond to market forces by taking advantage of sustainability opportunities.
The NCS will deliver a series of cultural change workshops for Forum memebrs. The sessions are facilitated by using a series of fun activities to assist participants to better understand the issues of cultural behaviour change and gain knowledge and skills in influencing others for sustainability outcomes.
