Living Edge

Purpose/aim

For the past two years, the NCS has conducted an independent third party verification of greenhouse gas emissions inventories and reports for Living Edge. This work has involved an assessment and assurance of the underlying systems, processes and competencies that support the production of the carbon reports developed by Aurecon Group for Living Edge. The objectives of the verification process are:

• that greenhouse gas emissions inventories are accurate and complete
• inventories are free of material discrepancies
• decisions about greenhouse gas emissions, management and reporting are improved
• the credibility of the inventory is strengthened by providing an objective third party opinion of associated reports
• all supporting data systems are based on clearly documented and archived information that constitutes a complete audit trail

Project status
