Fees

Postgraduate qualifications

Most postgraduate courses at Swinburne are full-fee paying, however there may be a small number of courses with Commonwealth supported places available.

You can loan the money required to pay part or all of your tuition fees through FEE-HELP, a component of the Federal Government's Higher Education Loan Programme (HELP) to assist full-fee paying students.

University degrees

Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) require a contribution amount to Swinburne.

The contribution amount will depend on the course you're enrolling in.

Pay your fees up front (and receive a discount) or defer your payment via HECS-HELP.

TAFE courses

The Victorian Government offers subsidised places for students who meet the eligibility criteria.

Tuition and amenities fees depend on the course and eligibility for government-subsidised fees.

Some courses have materials and ancillary fees to cover the costs of materials you'll use.

VET FEE-Help is a loan scheme available to those students who pay full fees.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and credit transfer

On-the-job experience, informal training or previous study may count towards Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and/or credit transfer when you apply for mid-year commencement in 2012.

Apply for:

  • Paid work
  • Volunteer work
  • Formal study not completed (e.g. changing course or education provider)

RPL and credit exemptions can save time and money. Complete your course in less time and advance to a higher qualification if you wish.
