Probation Policy - Academic staff

Swinburne is committed to development of teaching competency in staff new to teaching. Swinburne encourages all academic teaching staff to undertake a study of teaching. Procedural guidelines for academic staff probation advise that a staff member who is new to teaching will be required to undertake the first subject of the Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education or the Professional Certificate in Teaching Practice.
