As part of the World Health Organisation Regional Workshop on radiofrequency (RF) bioeffects, the Australian Centre for RF Bioeffects Research (ACRBR) will be offering 2 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate prizes for outstanding research in any area relating to RF Bioeffects. Up to 4 finalists from each category will be chosen to present posters on their work at the WHO workshop in Melbourne, November 17 th and 18 th 2005, and where appropriate will receive travel scholarships of up to $500. Winners will be announced at the WHO workshop, with each receiving $1500.

For eligibility and application details please see below.

This research domain is highly variable, but examples of appropriate projects might include the testing of mobile phone-related effects on human psychological function or non-human brain function, the modelling of RF interactions with molecular activity, or the utilisation of techniques for estimating RF signal absorption in the brain.

How are the winners picked?

From the applications, o ur judges from the ACRBR will choose up to 4 postgraduate and 4 undergraduate finalists who will be invited to present a poster of their work at the WHO workshop in November in Melbourne .
