Opportunities for Postgraduate Student Research Projects
Postgraduate students in the Social Psychology Research Unit conduct basic and applied research using the theories and methods of social psychology.
SPRU researchers supervise postgraduate students at Honours, Masters and Doctoral level. Our expertise spans a wide range of methodologies (e.g., online and paper and pen surveys, telephone interviews, experiments, focus groups), all aspects of psychometric assessment (e.g., survey and questionnaire design, psychometric testing) and analytic techniques, both qualitative and multivariate quantitative techniques such as structural equation modeling, latent class analysis, and multilevel modeling. We are also experts in a wide range of statistical software including SPSS, Lisrel, EQS, AMOS, MLwin, MPLUS and LatentGold.
Applications are welcome from students wishing to do MA or PhD research. Scholarships are sometimes available. Students wishing to conduct research in relation to the Swinburne National Technology & Society Monitor are particularly welcome.
