Help is on the way: Support for individuals, couples and families in the community

There are a number of free electronic resources available to the community that promote mental health, well-being and psychological research findings. We encourage you to access these resources as we expand our e-therapy services.

PTSD Online
If you have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (or think you might have), then you are invited to register for the PTSD online research study which has been funded by Australian Rotary Health. Centre for Clinical Interventions
The Centre for Clinical Interventions (CCI) provide a number of free information packs for individuals experiencing a symptoms of depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders. The packs contain information about a range of disorders, workbook activities and practical advice for managing symptoms.

Reach Out!
Reach Out! is a web-based information, support and referral service that aims to improve the mental health and well being of young adults aged 16-25. Please click on the link above to find out more about this service.

MoodGYM
MoodGYM is a free and interactive online program designed by the Centre for Mental Health Research at the Australian National University to help individuals identify whether they are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. One of the aims of the program is to help users overcome these problems through providing them with psychoeducation and improving their coping skills. MoodGYM is based on cognitive behavioural and interpersonal therapy approaches which have both been found to be effective in preventing and treating depression and anxiety. The program has a preventative focus to mental health and works through modules on feelings, thoughts, "un-warping", de-stressing and relationships. The program incorporates a number of quizzes that provide an individual with information about their current emotional state, how it compares to other people their age and whether it is recommended that they speak to a health professional.

e-couch is an initiative of beyondblue, a consortium of Australian researchers and the Australian National University to make mental health information available online. Please click on the link above to find our more about this site.
