What is the focus of this degree?
As Australia's only national program for housing practitioners, our Housing Management course provides knowledge and skills of management, administration and policy development in housing provision.
Through the course you'll analyse the Australian and New Zealand housing systems, and develop your social and economic awareness of the housing industry in Australia.
Is this course for me?
Our program is designed for administrators, housing managers (public, not-for-profit and private real estate), and research and policy workers in the public and community sectors who want to improve their knowledge of, and skills in, housing management.
What are my study options?
This is a nested suite of programs and once you have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma of Social Science (Housing Management and Policy) you may apply for the Master of Social Science(Housing Management and Policy) degree.
All of our housing management and policy courses are delivered by distance education and course notes are supplied on CDROM. We run an annual residential workshop to provide a national student forum, and support of the course notes and tutorials.

What are my career options?
You will be able to move between community and public sectors and also be able to apply for management-level positions in the social housing sector, policy formulation and related fields.
