Counselling and Psychotherapy

The Psychology Centre offers a special program of low-cost counselling and psychotherapeutic help. This service is provided by graduate students of the Psychology Centre who are undertaking APS accredited post-graduate qualifications in Counselling psychology.

All of the counsellors are at an advanced stage of their degree and have the full confidence and support of the Psychology Centre and their individual supervisors.

The Centre specialises in the provision of counselling from a psychological perspective. Clients can expect to consult only experienced staff with combined academic and professional backgrounds. Individual, group and family settings are available. An initial interview and assessment is used with clients referred to the Psychology Centre to ensure the client's needs are understood and the most appropriate therapist is assigned. Alternatively, clients may be referred directly to a specific therapist.
