Swinburne Housing
Swinburne University has been a leader in research
and teaching in housing and urban studies in Australia
since the foundation of the former Centre for Urban
and Social Research in 1974. The ISR's Cities and
Housing program continues this tradition. It has
a national - and emerging international - reputation
for research, teaching, consultancy and electronic
information networking in housing and urban studies.
Research
The Cities and Housing program carries out research
in areas such as social housing, private rental markets,
sustainable urban development, and the interaction
of housing with other aspects of social policy. The ISR is part of the Swinburne-Monash
Research Centre of the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute ( AHURI ).
