About CHP

The Centre for Human Psychopharmacology conducts world-leading research into the effects of natural products, pharmaceuticals and recreational drugs on neurocognitive processes across the lifespan. We conduct government and industry funded trials as well as investigator-initiated studies.

Our aim is to understand fundamental aspects of neurocognitive change and to use the methodologies of applied human psychopharmacology in order to benefit behavioural and brain processes and to translate this knowledge for the public good.

Another aim of the centre is to educate the public on the efficacy and safety of natural medicines and illicit drugs on the human brain.
