  • Multimedia describes the utilisation of sophisticated graphics, animation, text, audio and video technologies to produce interactive applications such as websites, 3D visualisations and animations, films and computer games.

  • Prepares you for employment within a broad range of multimedia environments.

  • Students may complete a stand-alone Bachelor of Multimedia with various different majors, or combine their Multimedia degree with a Bachelor of Science or Engineering.

  • From 2006 onwards, students will have the opportunity to study multimedia-based subjects as part of our new Bachelor of Arts (Games and Interactivity).

  • Three years full-time study for a single degree or four to five years full-time study for a double degree at Hawthorn Campus.

  • Further study options in Honours.

  • Entry Requirements are described in course links .

  • Application through VTAC.

  • Opportunities to study overseas as part of your degree program.

Industry-Based Learning in Multimedia (IBL)

Swinburne's Multimedia courses include an optional Industry-Based Learning (IBL) year in which you may be placed in paid, supervised employment as part of your degree. IBL gives you practical experiences and a proven advantage in the job market.
