Quicksearch engineering journal databases using Supersearch

  • It is useful for conducting an introductory search on a topic.

Quicksearch will often retrieve a large number of hits. If you need to conduct a more sophisticated search, try searching one or more of the individual databases listed below :

  • IEEE Xplore - IEEE/IEE Electronic Library (IEL) provides access the the IEEE/IEE Electronic Library (IEL). You have access to the following from at least 1988 (back issues are currently being added for many publications): IEEE journals, transactions, and magazines; IEEE conference proceedings; IEE journals; IEE conference proceedings; IEEE standards
  • Informit Online
  • InfoTrac One File on Gale
  • Journal Citation Reports on Web of Knowledge
  • Knovel is a collection of over 500 full content books, some enhanced with interactive graphs, tables and spreadsheets
  • Material Safety Data Sheets
  • ScienceDirect provides full text access to over 50 Elsevier journals that Swinburne subscribes to plus over 200 titles from Academic Press.
  • Scopus world’s largest abstract and indexing database offering you access to 14,000 peer-reviewed titles from more than 4,000 international publishers
  • Wiley InterScience Journals Content from Synergy is now included in this database
  • Web of Knowledge includes Web of Science (with Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index), Current Contents Connect and Journal Citation Reports. Coverage is available from 1992 onwards.
