Services for remote off-campus students

For students who live over 20km from a Swinburne campus and do not attend classes on-campus

Mail delivery

The mail delivery service is available to students who do not attend classes on campus and who live more than 20km from a Swinburne campus. Other students who have a special reason for not being able to visit a campus may also apply to use this service.

The mail delivery service for remote off-campus students is available within Australia only.

Students taught from an Australian campus but located overseas are usually considered to be distance students and may be permitted to access the complete range of online materials and databases under license conditions.

To borrow an item by mail, please fill in the Off-campus request form - book/audiovisual material.

Please note that you will be responsible for return postage.

Online material and databases

Off-campus students may access any electronic resources through the library website. Information about logging in may be found here.

Subject starter guides

The library website's Subject Starter Guides recommend key online resources such as databases and websites for each area of study within Swinburne. They are good starting points for finding information on particular topics.

Subject search

The library offers a subject search service for remote off-campus students. If you are having difficulty finding resources for your topic you may fill out our off-campus subject search form.

Reciprocal borrowing
