How to identify and find the items on your reading list
Spot the difference
There are different types of material on your reading list. Identfying the difference will help you find each type.
Book
Look for the publisher and place of publication.
Jones, R 2010, Recruit, select & induct staff, Pearson, Frenchs Forest, NSW.
Book chapter
Look for the word in, followed by the editors and title of the book.
Dalton, M 2006, ‘Developing the global manager’, in RJ Burke & CL Cooper (eds) 2006, The human resources revolution: why putting people first matters, Elsevier, Amsterdam, pp. 123-136.
Journal article
Look for the volume number, issue number or month and page numbers.
Hughes, H 2010, ‘International students’ experience of university libraries and librarians’, Australian Academic & Research Libraries, vol. 41, no. 2, pp. 77-89.
Find the item
Books and book chapters
Enter the book title into the search box on the library homepage.
Journal articles
Enter the article title into the search box on the library homepage and select Articles and more.
