Link to a specific database in Supersearch
You can link to a Supersearch search screen for a specific database. You need to find the Supersearch resource number for the database you want to link to.
- Go to Supersearch
Find databases.
- Browse
or search to locate the database.
- Position
the cursor over the database name in Supersearch.
- Look at
the status bar at the bottom of the Internet Explorer window.
The resource number is shown as part of the link. It will begin
with the letters ARL.
example: ?func=native-link&resource=ARL07717
- ARL07717
is the resource number for the EBSCOhost database Academic Search
Premier. The direct link to Academic Search Premier in Supersearch
is:
http://metalibprod.aarlin.edu.au:8331/V?func=find-db-4&resource=ARL07717&force_login=y
- To link to a different database just replace ARL07717 with the resource number for the other database.
Link to the list of databases for a subcategory in Metasearch
Links to subcategories in Metasearch are listed here.
Just copy the link for subcategory you'd like to link to.
To copy the link, click the right mouse button on the link then choose Copy shortcut.
