PC Bookings: MyPC Booking Guide
Q1: How do I book a PC in the Library?
Go to MyPC booking website and log in using your SIMS username and password. Select the date and the PC that you want to book.
Q2: I am having trouble logging into MyPC booking. Can you help?
To log in, you need to use your SIMS username and password. See the SIMS guide for more information.
Q3: What does the legend at the bottom of the screen mean?
The legend at the bottom of the screen shows:
- Yellow for your current booking
- Red for bookings made by others
- White for time where the computer is available
- Grey for times in the past
- Blue if the computer is currently in use
- Black if the computer is out of service
- Green if that part of the library is closed
Q4: I have logged in – how do I make a booking?
Use the drop down lists under the 'Where' column and select the Library and location that you want to bring up the list of PCs available. On the PC that you want to book, click on your session start time and a booking windows appears.
Check the PC number and the date. Select the end time from the drop-down list, print a booking receipt if you want and click 'Save'. Your booking is made.
Q5: How do I check/find my booking?
Log into MyPC Booking. Click on the MyPC 'red man' icon on the right and your booking details will appear.
Q6: How do I cancel a booking?
Search for your booking as shown in Q5 above. Click on the 'Edit' link. Click 'Delete' to cancel a booking.
