Swinburne offers students multiple program options to experience Industry Engaged Learning. Program options are also available for industry partners.

Capstones are subjects undertaken in your final year of study. They are designed to provide professionally focused learning experiences which assist industry in tackling real-world challenges and help consolidate the knowledge you have obtained throughout your course. Each faculty offers a range of Capstone Units to choose from. |

Internships aim to develop your professional and practical skills and encourage you to apply skills and knowledge acquired through your study to a real work environment. You will be placed with an organisation to work on a research project or undertake develop work skills in industry; usually for 2 or 3 days a week. |

Industry-Based Learning (IBL) is all about helping you gain industry experience before you graduate. The program provides you with an opportunity to undertake full-time paid placement in an area relevant to your studies for either 6 or 12 months. |
