Research Scholarships
Scholarships in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies
The Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies conducts world class research in a number of areas, including:
- Astrophysics, in particular the key areas of astronomy visualisation, star and planet formation, pulsars, globular clusters, supermassive black holes, galaxy evolution, and Big Bang cosmology through the Centre for Astrophysics & Supercomputing (CAS).
- Computer science and software engineering, in particular the key areas of component software technology, web and data technology, workflow technology and intelligent agents through the Centre for Complex Software Systems & Services (CS3), and software analysis and testing through the Centre for Software Analysis and Testing (CSAT), as well as other research areas of computer science and software engineering through members of the CSSE Research Group.
- Information systems and management through RISO (Research into Information Systems in Organisations).
- Molecular simulation, with a number of research interests including equilibrium simulations, non-equilibrium molecular dynamics, nanotechnology, molecular simulation of spectra, and thermodynamics and statistical mechanics through the Centre for Molecular Simulation (CMS).
- Telecommunication and networking, in particular the key areas of broadband IP access architectures, IP network resilience and security, and IP mobility through the Centre for Advanced Internet Architectures (CAIA).
Students and researchers from around the world are attracted to study and work at Swinburne in Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies because of our Faculty's world class research.
