CMS 2008 End of Year Party
The above photo of CMS staff and students was taken on December 20, 2008 at the end-of-year party held at Prof Sadus' house. The weather was kind: 24 degrees Celsius and fine. This was a nice contrast to the rain in the previous week. This year, no one was talking about global warming!

CMS 2007 End of Year Party
The above photo of CMS staff and students was taken on December 19, 2007 at the end-of-year party held at Prof Sadus' house. It rained for most of the day and the party had to quickly switched indoors. Some parts of Melbourne experience server thunderstorms and flash flooding The photo was taken during a brief pause in the rain!
CMS 2006 End of Year Party
The above photo of CMS staff and students was taken in December, 2006 at the end-of-year party. In a break with tradition the party has held on-campus as this was the last year that the Centre would occupy its current build, known as “The Pink House.” In common with most years, the weather was great!
CMS 2005 End of Year Party
The above photo of CMS staff and students was taken on December 9, 2005 at the end-of-year party held at Prof Sadus' house. The party was held somewhat earlier than usual because some of us had comitments in Hawaii! The weather was kind: 24 degrees Celsius and fine. In the back row from left to right are: Yasong Wei (former PhD student), Zhongwu Zhou, Guangwen Wu (former pst-doc), Richard Sadus, Fede Frascoli, Saumitara Saha, Alexe Bojovschi, Jianhu Li, Jarek Bosko (former PhD student) and Jailin Ge (former PhD student, about to depart for a post-doc in Norway). From left to right in the front row are: Liping Wang (technically a former PhD student because she submitted her thesis today!), Billy Todd, Tao Huang, Ming Liu and Feng Wang. Missing are Tom Hunt and Chantal Falzon. Gabi Raabe contributed traditional Christmas buscuits from Germany!

CMS 2004 End of Year Party
The above photo of CMS staff and students was taken on December 22, 2004 at the end-of-year party held at Prof Sadus' house. This time the weather was perfect (26 degrees Celsius and sunny) and the party was held outside. From right to left in the back row are Peter Wolynec, Guangwen Wu (former post-doc), Richard Sadus, Jarek Bosko, Saumitra Saha, Alexe Bojovschi, Tom Hunt,Zhongwu Zhou, Jailin Ge (former PhD student), Jianhui Li and Ming Liu. From right to left in the front row are Yasong Wei (former PhD student), Feng Wang, Chantal Falzon, Liping Wang, Billy Todd, Junfang Zhang and Tao Huang. Missing (in Italy) is Fede Frascoli.

CMS 2002 End of Year Party

Left to right are: Gabi Raabe (post-doctoral visitor from TU Braunschweig, Germany), Zhongwu Zhou, Jarek Bosko, Jailin Ge, Matthew Downton, Billy Todd (holding daughter, Kira), Tom Hunt, Liping Wang, Richard Sadus, Junfang Zhang, Jilin Wang (holding son, Michael) and Guangwen Wu. Missing in China is Ming Liu. The weather was somewhat disappointing this year which resulted in a retreat into the house for desert. Sadly, some of us continue to age!
CMS 2001 End of Year Party

It reached 37 degrees Celsius that day, so please excuse the informal attire!
