Mission

The Web and Data Technology program conducts research into development and application of database technologies for non-conventional database applications and Web information systems.

To conduct internationally recognised research in Web and Data Engineering
To collaborate with other research programs and collectively contribute to the research themes in CS3
To provide high quality research training and education
To engage in collaborative research both nationally and internationally
To engage industry through collaboration, consulting and other commercial activities

Background Information

The Web and Data Technology (WDT) Program in CS3 was the Web and Data Engineering Program in the former Centre for Information Technology Research (CITR) and part of the former Centre for Internet Computer and E-Commerce (CICEC). WDT performs innovative research into the development and application of advanced database, business process management and XML data engineering.
