About
Mission
Aims and Objectives
- To conduct internationally recognised research into complex systems and intelligent processes and their utility for solving problems
- To collaborate with other research programs and collectively contribute to the research themes in CITR
- To provide high quality research training and education
- To engage in collaborative research both nationally and internationally
- To engage industry through collaboration, consulting and other commercial activities
Background InformationNature is replete with systems that exhibit complex interactions
resulting in apparently intelligent behaviour, which in turn offer new
insights into solving existing problems in the human sphere. The evolution of the species, flocking of birds, cooperative behaviour of ants and functioning of the human immune system all present alternative ways of solving problems as well as being interesting subjects of study in their own right.
