The Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies offers a variety of special pathways programs designed for students with a relevant post-secondary qualification (particularly a TAFE diploma or advanced diploma) to allow entry into Swinburne ICT courses usually with exemptions from the first or second year of the degree.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must have completed an appropriate TAFE Diploma or equivalent in a computer programming discipline such as a TAFE Diploma in Information Technology or Advanced Diploma Computer Science. An average score is required of at least 60%. These pathways are also available to international students with an equivalent qualification. Application Procedure
Local and international Swinburne TAFE students, may apply for degree studies without having to apply through VTAC. Further information and application forms visit our Direct Entry website.
For students not applying via Direct Entry, applications for Faculty of ICT degree programs must be made through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). For further information, visit the VTAC website. Students will need to complete a Swinburne "Application for Exemptions Form" and must have evidence of completion of their previous course/program.
Early round offers will be available for all Faculty of ICT courses.
Professional Recognition
Programs are accredited by the register of Australia Tertiary Awards (ATA) and the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). The majority of our programs are also registered with the Australian Computing Society (ACS) at the highest level (Professional Level).
