As of December 31, 2011 Swinburne University of Technology will no longer be hosting IAESTE Australia.
Since 2006, IAESTE Australia has sent hundreds of Australian students on paid international traineeships that have not only provided them with an international perspective and work experience, but also contributed to their university's international reach and outbound mobility. However, IAESTE Australia is no longer sustainable in its current form and Swinburne's focus has shifted to other areas of outbound mobility.
It has been a pleasure hosting IAESTE as it has been a valuable addition to Swinburne's international goals and objectives.
Currently, no institution have expressed interest in hosting IAESTE. However, the Melbourne Local Committee are currently planning to take over it's operation.
