The General Sir John Monash Awards
The General Sir John Monash Awards are “Australia’s most prestigious postgraduate scholarships promoting excellence in learning.” In any year, up to eight awards can be conferred to Australian students graduating from Australian higher education institutions, enabling them to study at the world's best overseas universities.

The Sir Rupert Hamer Postgraduate Scholarship
Named after the former Premier of Victoria, the Sir Rupert Hamer Postgraduate Scholarship was established to assist Swinburne University of Technology postgraduate students fulfil their academic goals. The value of the scholarship is $5,000 and is presented to students with a sound academic record and a demonstrated interest in community affairs.
Applications for the award must include details of academic results and the applicant’s involvement in community service. A curriculum vitae and statements by two referees related to the applicant’s community service activities are also required.
