This program offers you the opportunity to gain specialist knowledge in international business. There are a number of developments that international business operators must be equipped to face. Globalisation, e-business practices, downsizing/rationalisation, entrepreneurship and the new economy, privatisation, and diversity in the market place present themselves as the significant trends that converge on management today.

To succeed in the international business environment you need to be up to date and capable of delivering results with these trends in mind. This course provides the means to recognise and take advantage of the opportunities and deal with the challenges inherent in international business environments.

In two years of full time study students will be eligible for the Master of Commerce (International Business) from Swinburne and the Master of Science in Leadership from Northeastern.

Alternatively students have the option of completing a Graduate Diploma of Commerce (International Business) from Swinburne and the Graduate Certificate of Science in Leadership from Northeastern in one year of full time study.

Leadership Stream

Taught in Melbourne, by Northeastern University academics

The traditional concept that leadership skill resides solely with a small handful of top executives has given way to contemporary collaborative models where influence and decision-making authority is distributed throughout an organisation. Today's workforce continues to diversify, and the tasks to be accomplished become more complex. This Leadership Stream is designed to assist today's leaders and prepare emerging leaders in meeting these challenges.

The units incorporate an action-learning approach that is intended to leverage the interdisciplinary backgrounds of participants to help build leadership competencies.

Note: Master of Science in Leadership and Graduate Certificate in Leadership are highly structured and leadership units are only offered once a year in the Global Leadership Program.

    Gradute Diploma- A$24 750(total for 9 units)

Gradute Diploma- 1 years full-time (Australian students may study part-time)

Master- 2 years full-time (Australian students may study part-time)

Additional Course Information

Students may not request to replace a required unit in their academic program with another comparable unit. Students cannot exit their program without completing all the required units.
