Everyone deserves the right to an education. But 2020 has proven to be a year of extreme challenges for our whole community. And many of our students have found themselves impacted by emergencies and circumstances beyond their control.

That’s why we’ve set up the Student Emergency Fund.

Any student who’s been impacted by disasters such as bushfires, floods, droughts or a health pandemic will be able to access a one-off grant of up to $1,000. This is a lifeline. But we can only offer it with your support.

The entire Swinburne community is supporting our students through this time: Our Council members, staff, alumni and supporter community are getting behind our students. We invite you to join us too.

We are particularly grateful for the generous support of the Pridmore Trust, the Pratt Foundation, the Beck Family Foundation and the Asian Australian Foundation.

Every dollar of your donation directly helps students in need. You’ll give them food to eat, equip them to study remotely, ensure they can continue to pay rent and have a safe and secure place to live. You’ll enable them to pursue their future.

“The Student Emergency Fund was created to assist students urgently in need of financial assistance. In a modern world, students may not belong to a community group or church or sporting club, but they belong to Swinburne.”
