Construction engineering and management

The construction engineering and management (CEM) research group conducts applied research focused on sustainable building and construction systems, risk management, safety management and application of information technology, including digital engineering and building information modelling (BIM) to improve construction productivity and safety as well as building energy efficiency.

Our members are internationally recognised award-winning researchers, who have developed a wide range of international and national collaborations. Our team has worked successfully with a number of government departments, industry organisations and leading construction companies and published several hundred peer reviewed journal articles, conference papers, books and book chapters as well as research-based consultant reports for governments and industries.
