Team

In 2006, team Swinburne comprises of students from a wide range of displines including Mechanical Engineering, Robotics & Mechatronics Engineering, Multimedia Design and Business. This team includes both final-year students and students from 3rd and 4th years with a keen interest in the project.

Hannes Van Der Walt, a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Sciences covers the supervision of the team, and assisting the team with automotive engineering applications is Michael Petrovski, who has been involved since leading the 2000 Swinburne FSAE Team, and currently works in Product Development at Ford Australia .

The team is also enthusiastically assisted by our Technical Support team, lead by Phil Watson, Technical Operations Manager for the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Sciences, and backed up by the technical team, comprising of Warren Gooch, Meredith Jewson, David Vass and Peter Robb, who all provide invaluable hands on assistance throughout the year.
