Scholarships in the Faculty of Engineering & Industrial Sciences

The Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Science has internationally recognized research in advanced manufacturing and laser technology, through its Industrial Research Institute Swinburne (IRIS), in developing new sensors and optical data storage devices, through its Centre for Micro-Photonics (CMP), and studying the fundamental states of matter through its Centre for Atom Optics and Ultrafast Spectroscopy (CAOUS). The centres and other research in sustainable infrastructure, fluid mechanics, mathematical modelling, mechatronics, bioengineering, nanotechnology, engineering design, advanced materials and high temperature processing employ over a hundred researchers in the faculty, with many of these researchers interacting with industry through a number of co-operative research centres (CRCs) located in the Faculty. Students and researchers from around the world are attracted to study and work at Swinburne because of our Faculty's world class research.

University Scholarship Closing Date is 31 October 2008
