Applied and computational mathematics are among the most interwoven and interdisciplinary of all research areas, encompassing modelling, analysis, algorithm development, and simulation for problems arising throughout the sciences and engineering. Swinburne Univerity of Technology provides an interactive research environment for post graduate students interested in exploring the mathematical properties of systems in atmosphere/ocean science, high temperature physics, fluid dynamics, molecular dynamics, financial mathematics, computational biology and any number of other disciplines. In accord with their interests and background, post graduate students may take their doctorate in Mathematics, Science or Engineering.
