waste treatment systems, road and rail networks,
air and sea ports in a sustainable manner to reduce the impact on the environment.
Civil engineering offers a creative and rewarding
career for men and women in many different areas,
which are essential to modern life. Currently
career prospects for civil engineers are excellent,
both in Australia and overseas with near 100% employment. Because Civil
Engineers are responsible for many of Australia's
essential services and infrastructure they will provide a vital role in the nation's future.
The development and management of large infrastructure
systems in a sustainable manner is emerging as a new challenge for Civil
