Courses for future commercial pilots

Swinburne University provides a range of vocational and degree courses to prepare students for future careers as a commercial pilot. Swinburne graduates are now flying with major airlines, such as QANTAS, Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Cathay Pacific. Students should consult airlines' pilot recruitment information to confirm qualifications and industry experience required to be considered for employment as flight crew.

All our Aviation courses include flying training to a Commercial Pilot Licence with the ability to include Air Transport Pilot Licence theory, multi engine endorsement, Command Instrument Rating and Instructor Rating. Syllabus hours can be tailored to meet international regulatory and airline recruitment requirements. We operate in partnership with General Flying Services to provide flying training to the highest airline standards in new Cessna glass cockpit aircraft.
General Flying Services is the largest flying training organisation in Australia and is the provider of choice for cadet pilot training for QANTAS and various Asian airlines.

Swinburne, General Flying Services and QANTAS are now working together to deliver the QANTAS Cadet Pilot Program.
