Green Impact Program
As a part of Swinburne’s commitment to sustainability, we will be participating in the Green Impact Program.
The program encourages and enables staff and students to undertake practical actions that will help to drive a culture of sustainable practices. Developed in the UK by the National Union of Students, Green Impact has been implemented by over 400 organisations worldwide.
How to get involved
Taking part is as easy as forming a team. Staff are encouraged to participate so they can tackle sustainability issues, compete with other teams and get recognised for their achievements.
Green impact offer a full suite of support tools and resources, so be assured we’re all in this together. Staff located in the same physical space such as offices, departments, floors or buildings can sign-up as a team of 3 – 10.
Green Impact will then provide teams with a customised workbook of sustainability actions. Teams are then also given a structured framework for taking actions, from things as simple as printing double sided to things as big as setting up workplace kitchen gardens.
