The Swinburne Research Conference is in its third year, and the 2019 Conference aspires to be the most unique and special to date.

To be held on July 23rd with the theme Changemakers, the conference will celebrate the diversity and excellence of our research at Swinburne and the impact we are creating in society and with industry.

In addition to hearing from our Swinburne Changemakers, the conference will also feature a number of our industry partners to highlight their perspectives on research engagement.

A snapshot of the day’s proceedings:

  • Keynote from Professor Ross Garnaut AC – Economist and Professorial Research Fellow in economics at The University of Melbourne
  • Keynote from Dr Cathy Foley – Chief Scientist at CSIRO
  • Panel sessions focusing on:
       - Experiences of our Changemakers
       - Research Career Planning for Impact
       - Bringing the Outside Inside

In the spirit of this year’s theme of Changemakers, we will conclude the day with a celebratory Research Showcase: an engaging session designed to bring together the achievements of our PhDs and ECRs and to provide these upcoming research stars with a platform to present their work.

There will be music, there will be refreshments and most of all, there will be a sharing of minds. Join us!
