Are you currently working on a research, development or idea involving Social Innovation? Are you researching Emerging Technologies and their impact - or another aspect of Social Innovation?

You're invited to join the Collaboration and Partnerships team, Swinburne staff and researchers at the upcoming Soapbox on Social Innovation: Living with Emerging Technologies.

The event is designed to uncover, highlight and capture the great work being done across Swinburne – in faculties, PAVE, research centres and the Innovation Precinct – as well as to identify new opportunities for collaboration.

At the Soapbox, you will have three (3) minutes to explain your work – similar to a ‘three minute thesis' style presentation. You are also welcome to attend without presenting.

The benefits to be gained from presenting:

  • Be discovered for your capability, collaborations or research.
  • Learn about the work of colleagues.
  • Uncover synergies to develop your interests, work, or funding.

The outcomes will benefit the whole university and help to inform activities undertaken by both Swinburne students and staff.

Your information will be used to promote and develop Social Innovation at Swinburne and to support areas where Swinburne has extensive expertise that can be leveraged in future engagement.

You will find a Capability Form below for download and completion. We recommend you follow this format in your three-minute talk. Please email the form to by Friday 16 February, 2018.

If you are working on a relevant project in a team, only one representative is needed to present.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Soapbox on Social Innovation: Living with Emerging Technologies.
