Supervisor Training and Accreditation
Research Supervisor Accreditation Training scheduled for 2017
1. HDR Policy and Procedure (2 hours)
2. Innovation and Creativity (1 hour)
3. Research Project Management (1 hour)
The Professional Research Supervision Program will commence with an overview of HDR policies and processes relating to enquiry management, application, supervision, enrolment, scholarships, fees, progression, candidature management and examination. This initial workshop will provide you with an understanding of the university’s Research Training Statement of Practice and of your role and responsibilities when advising potential HDR students and those already under your supervision. The Statement of Practice has been significantly updated to reflect the changes in our Higher Education policy environment and provides us with an ideal opportunity to get us all on the same page with our policy and practice. Please refer to the attached policy document.
The training in Innovation and Creativity and Project Management is designed to equip supervisors with the knowledge and skills to support their students with the completion of the two core units of the Graduate Certificate in Research and Innovation Management (GC-RESIM). More information about these units will be made available soon.
The first HDR Policy and Procedure session was held on Thursday 1st June, 2017 from 2.30pm-4.30pm. Dates for the upcoming sessions will be available early August.
The TPA acknowledge the research achievements and science engagement and promotion. This is an information session on the awards and submissions
