Mental Health Week: Yarning Circle, Sharing Stories
You are viewing a past event.
|Date:||Tuesday 1 May - Thursday 3 May|
|Venue:||Croydon, Wantirna, and Hawthorn Campus|
For generations, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people have been practicing a traditional ceremony called a ‘Yarning Circle’.
During UMHD 2018, the Moondani Toombadool Indigenous Engagement Team invite you to join our yarning circle. Together we will share our stories keeping in mind reconciliation and understanding of mental health issues. Shared stories will be at the participant’s discretion with an understanding of respect and an ability to listen to each other.
By sharing our stories we hope to continue healing and gain strength to use our voices for positivity.
Join us from 12-1pm daily, Tuesday 1 May - Thursday 3 May at the following campus locations:
Hawthorn: Swinergy Corner
