Join us to celebrate cultural diversity through art, music and culture at the Multicultural Art Exhibition as part of Refugee Week.

You'll gain an insight into the refugee journey with special guest speaker, John Gulzari.

John was forced to abandon his home in Afghanistan as one of the Hazara minority persecuted by the ruling Taliban regime. His story epitomizes the 2017 theme of Refugee Week: “With courage let us all combine”.

There will be traditional dance performances from the Chinese Jasmin group and further dance performances from Indonesian and Vietnamese representatives.

This activity is funded by the Victorian Government Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship under the Unity through Partnership Grant.

This is a collaborative project of the Migrant Information Centre (Eastern Melbourne), IKAWIRIA Indonesian Community Association Victoria, AVA Boroondara Senior Citizens Group and The Jing Song Men’s Association.
