Swinburne Community Child Care Co-op
Swinburne Community Child Care Co-op is a small 35 place centre. We cater for Swinburne students, staff members and the wider community. The centre is a community based centre. We have a committee of management who support the co-ordinator and staff in the management of the centre. The Centre operates as a family grouping centre with an emphasis on learning through play. The centre has a rating of 'Exceeding the National Quality Standard'.
Janelle Blaess, member of the panel for this event, started her career in the Early Childhood Field in 1998. She has a bachelor of Early Childhood Studies. Janelle started working at Swinburne Community Childcare Co-op in 1998 as the Kindergarten Teacher and as she gained more skills and knowledge, was given the opportunity to take on the role as Assistant Co-ordinator and later the role as Co-ordinator. She has been the Co-ordinator for the past 8 years.
