Timber composite structures
This project investigates the design and retrofit of timber structures using a composite concrete slab.

The research will comprise both experimental testing and analytical modeling and will consider both strength and serviceability limit states and long term durability issues.

Economic Impact of Loading Standards
This project will investigate the economic impact of new Loading Standards on the economy of a country using a cost-benefit approach.

The research will examine international best practice and adapt existing analytical tools for use in the Australian context.

Collapse Modelling of Soft-Storey Structures
The project will investigate the seismic displacement demand and drift capacity of soft storey buildings such that the gravity load carrying capacity of the individual ground floor columns is not compromised.

Façade system performance
The project will investigate the racking performance of façade systems under horizontal actions. Façade systems provide the interface between the indoor and outdoor environments in buildings and are supported by the structural frame.

Rubber Filled Concrete
This project will investigate the properties and potential applications of rubber filled concrete (RBC) using rubber granules derived from the mechanical processing of old passenger and truck tyres as filler in reinforced concrete.
