Team Swinburne

On Friday the 15th of August, team Swinburne had the pleasure of entertaining sponsors and Swinburne staff at the Crown Promenade Hotel for the launch of the team’s 2008 FSAE race car. The evening is held every year as a way of thanking sponsors and Swinburne staff for all their support: without whom the project could not proceed. In attendance from FEIS, Prof John Beynon, Tim Waterman, Phil Watson and Tracey Ruan showed their support for the project and helped to promote future projects to sponsors.
Kane Wheeler (Team Principal) took the opportunity to address the audience, thanking the team for their efforts and highlighting the major developments and innovations team Swinburne have applied to the 2008 car. To give insight into this development, Kane’s words were supported by short, two minute presentations from team members. After the presentations, the team showed our guests the completed components of the ts_08 racecar, whilst enjoying food and beverages. The team thoroughly enjoyed the night and from all reports the guests had as much fun as we did!
