Materials Today cover-competition winner Gediminas Senuitinas

Centre for Microphotonics 2016 PhD student, Gediminas Senuitinas has been announced as one of the of the Materials Today cover-competition winners of 2017.

He, along with nine others will have their image featured on the cover of an issue of the Materials Today journal in 2018 and will also write for the journal, as part of their Uncovered feature.

This micro-optical element performs as a highly efficient light twister - makes light spiralling along its propagation - a useful feature for quantum optics and opto-mechanics.
