Aviation 'Behind the Scenes' Tour for Year 10-12 students
the Aviation 'Behind the Scenes' Tour for Year 10-12 students has been completed.
The tour normally takes place each year in July or August and gives a detailed insight into exciting careers in aviation and give you the chance to meet representatives of key companies, such as Thales, CASA, Airservices Australia Airbiz and the major airlines.
Registrations of interest will open right here sometime in June or July, places book up fast.
The Tour
Each year Swinburne University of Technology invites schools to nominate students from Years 10 - 12 to participate in an exciting Behind the Scenes tour in the air transportation industry.
This is a field trip like no other, it will offer school students a briefing session at Swinburne before a comprehensive visit to some key aviation facilities in Melbourne.
The day starts at Swinburne at 08:30 for a 1 hour briefing, the bus then leaves at 09:30, and finishes back here about 17:30. This is a must for any student contemplating a career in Airline and Airport Operations or Management.
This tour is not applicable to students seeking a career as a pilot.
Available Places
Places are available for a limited number of students per school together with a careers responsible person to accompany students where possible - subject to numbers already booked on the tour.It is expected that a school will provide suitable supervison whilst their students are on the tour.
