If I have succesfully mapped my UV's onto an image, how do i then re-size and rotate my object in the perspective screen without changing the uv mapping. whenever I try to rotate or resize my object the mapping moves and doesn't resize with it. You need to delete the history on your object once you have completed uv mapping, otherwise when you translate/rotate/scale the object the uv's will move on you.
