Hi there! I am quite a fan of your tutorials! I have been using them to help me learn Maya, and find them very very very helpful. Thank you....

Quick question,,, when I extrude a side, and scale it, it moves it up or down. Is there a way to turn this feature off? It is really messing up the model of the castle, becuase every side ends up on an angle... Thanks again!

Hi Conner, not exactly sure what you mean, but are you extruding, then using the scale function thats available on the extrude tool?

If so, you'll find you are scaling on a different axis than your expecting. Click the little blue circle thats sitting around the manipulator, and that should let you scale correctly.

thanks for the comments.

in maya 2009 where has the
polygons/tool options menu been moved to?

all i can see in 2009 is a mesh and edit mesh menu, but no tool options.

actually i found it, its under the edit mesh menu.

another handy way i found to insert all those edges is with the insert edge loop tool in maya 2009. not sure if its in the older versions but it should be.
